Gaja refers to the Sanskrit word for elephant, one of the most important animals in Hinduism and Buddhism. A Gaja personifies a number of positive attributes, including abundance, fertility, wealth and wisdom.
The lucky elephant is therefore seen as a sacred animal, the holder of great power and a symbol of amazing powers.
Many popular beliefs consider the elephant as a good luck charm. In China, it is considered a sacred animal and is associated with wisdom. In India, the elephant is the symbol of Ganesha, god of fortune and prosperity.
